Two jets of sugar syrup collide and interact to form very different patterns.  On the left, the two jets have a low flow rate and create a chain-like wake.  The jets on the right have a higher flow rate and produce a liquid sheet that breaks down into filaments and droplets. The result is often likened to fish bones. (Photo credit: Rebecca Ing)

Back to hell or to exciting new things?

So I’m back at Cambridge. Start of Lent term, which will last 8 weeks starting this Thursday. I’ve not done anywhere near enough work to be comfortable, but I think I’ll get by as I have done in the past. I should really be working in the library but I want to enjoy the holiday feel a little bit more before shit officially hits the fan (also known as week 5). A few things await me in the near future:

1: Gig - my covers band Three and a Half Scientists will be performing at Hidden Rooms on the 24th for Newnham College June Event launch party. Better get my guitar skills back up to scratch.

2: Full Blue Racing - Our car for Formula Students competition will be built this term. I designed the uprights (where wishbones etc attach to the wheel) for the car and it took the whole winter so I’m looking forward to see it in flesh.

3: Photography - Having recently re-gained interest in photography, I’m looking forward to new photo opportunities in and around Cambridge. Cambridge, unlike Leeds is almost completely flat, so I’ll have to find different ways of composing shots. Been seeing couple of beautiful sunsets, gotta capture that before we lose it to bad weather.

4: Karate - Looking forward to training again. I’m now 4th kyu, it’ll be good if I could make the Varsity B team but doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen due to Oxford’s cowardice. Doesn’t hurt to train for it I guess.

Oh well anyways let’s see what happens
